Meet Lola Murray—and the seven other personalities who live in her head…

A patient at the Rosewood Hospital for Mental Wellness, Lola struggles to cope with Dissociative Identity Disorder—or as she calls the many egos, alters.

Their names are Maria, Tim, Clare, Zoe, Frog, Rabbit, and Samantha—all ranging in age, gender, and with wildly different personalities. But with five women and two men battling to live their lives through Lola, it’s only a matter of time before someone wins…

Therapy sessions threaten the survival of the group…

With the help of Lola’s therapist, she’s able to better understand the many personalities living in her head. They are like life-long friends, and their presence is all Lola has ever known. Without them, she’d be in this big world all by herself, and that is even more paralyzing than the alternative her doctor has suggested—merge all seven personalities into one, dominant Lola.

Fifty-one years is long enough…

With release from the hospital coming up fast, Lola’s alters scramble to prevent being erased. But after fifty-one years of hosting their lives while struggling for her own—when will it be her turn to live? Lola has to consider life outside of the institution. Friends, a job, and maybe even romance—how will she function with so many people making choices for her?

As her first act of independence, Lola must decide. Will she live the rest of her life as herself, or as Lola, party of eight?

***Lola is the full trilogy of the "Lola, Party of 8" series by Erin Lee***

Lola The complete Lola Party of Eight Series Box set Book 1 eBook Erin Lee Crazy Ink

Alters:

This book was fascinating to me because my mom has DID. It was a whole different take on what I know. I've lived my whole life on the outside dealing with the one who lives it.
It was nice to read it from her point of view.

Lola has 7 Alters and needs them all to function. This is a story about her journey to free herself and to be able to live a normal life. You can't help but fall in love with her and want to see her get better. She faces many challenges trying to control 7 other people.

This is definitely a great read and a wonderful way to get this little known illness out there in a way that helps people understand. Lee does a fantastic job explaining things in a way that makes you non judgemental twords Lola. I loved it!
This is a continuation of Alters and I feel this series really needs to be read in order for it all to make sense.
Lola thought all her alters had merged. She was finally out of Rosewood, got her licence and was signing up for classes.

Host:
This book Lola struggles with how or if she should live with her Alters. It Definalty opens your eyes to someone that has to live with this condition and the people that love them. Lee did a WONDERFUL job with this book!

Merge:

This is the last book in the Lola party of 8 series.
This book was by far my favorite. It showed the strength and perseverance of Lola and the people that love her.
This is Lola's chance at finally living her own life and maybe even finding love IF she can get her alters to agree to merge. She struggles with the possible loss of her "family" if the merge actually works.
It follows Lola through grief and being sent back to Rosewood. It's her chance if she wants to take it, to get better.
This whole series was great and I really feel like Lee did a WONDERFUL job with all the emotions from everyone involved. It is defiantly a series I would recommend to help people understand mental illness just a little more.

Lola The complete Lola Party of Eight Series Box set Book 1 eBook Erin Lee Crazy Ink Reviews

This box set is the entire Lola, Party of Eight series. It takes you from the first book, Alters, through to the final book, Merge. This trilogy is a peek into the mind of a person with multiple personalities. I shows what it is like to live with voices in your head and how Lola is able to cope. I loved this series and would recommend it.
I loved this book from the start to the finish!!! Erin Lee has given her readers a great story that makes her readers think about so many different things.

I felt myself as a reader really connecting with Lola or Host. I liked some of her alters and didn't really care for some of them. They translated as actually people guiding Lola, instead of just voices in her head. I think Erin Lee did an AMAZING job of being sensitive and true to the subject of DID or MPD. This story felt a little bit relatable then the more famous books about the same subject - like Sybil. I was able to really get inside of Lola's head and really connect with her and her alters.

AMAZING JOB Erin Lee on getting me hooked on another one of your stories!!
This was a great thought provoking, funny and insightful look into the world of someone living with DID. It's brilliantly written Lola's story and that of her Alters flows seamlessly. Her life in the institution is fascinating how her and the Alters interact and the Alters plans for getting out are written so well I can't say more than that or I will give too much away... Book 2 and 3 just up tye ante and get better better. The twists and turns are clasic Erin Lee you always keeps you on your toes. So grab this box set and settle in for a thought provoking, keep you on your toes read. Enjoy I know I did
Alters-This book was funny, interesting and I really liked reading about all the different personalities inside Lola!! I definitely recommend this book, especially if you are interested in multiple personalities. I was captivated from beginning to end and I can't wait to read part 2 (Host). Enjoy!!
Host-As a continuation of Alters, this book was interesting and funny and sad and even frustrating at times. I feel for Lola and everything she has had to go through because of her illness. I've learned so much about multiple personalities and how real the alters are. The dilemmas that Lola goes through are heart breaking, but when all of the alters take their turn in the limelight it is cute, funny and sometimes tragic. Because my daughter got her Masters Degree in this field I am even more fascinated in the dynamics of what is happening inside Lola's mind, and I REALLY hope she will read this series and like them as much as I do!!! So I definitely recommend this book, and I'm now off to read book 3 Merge. I can't wait to see what happens with everyone!!! Enjoy!!
Merge-(I gave this one 5 stars) To say I have a book hangover is putting it mildly!! This book consumed me and dragged me through some emotions that left me drained and honestly, exhausted. But I loved every word I read and the knowledge I gained about DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) is priceless!! This book sucked me in and Lola and each one of the alters were like friends I became very fond of and when they started talking about merging I actually became sad, and the "ugly cry" that had me stopping to collect myself more than once really surprised me!! The stories that Lola writes are so interesting and mesmerizing, they really had me thinking about the stories in the story. The multi-layering was an aspect that made this book even better and time did not exist as I delved deeper and deeper into the Merge!! I can't tell you enough how much I enjoyed all three of Lola's books, and I definitely recommend you set aside a huge chunk of time to really get into this book because you will NOT want to put it down for ANYTHING!!! I really admire the knowledge this author has about mental health and she even has helpful notes at the end of the book that really are informative and may even help someone who didn't have the tools to help themselves. So if you aren't convinced by now I will say it outright-BUY THIS BOOK!!! You will be VERY happy you did, plus, how could you ever leave Lola and the alters hanging after reading the first two books?!! Enjoy!!
