This really was an awful book. I thought that it couldn't be as bad as the other reviewers said but it was.

The h has a passionate night with the H at her best friends wedding, he leaves early the next morning promising to be in touch and never makes contact. She felt that she'd found love with him and then he runs off. The h finds out she's pregnant just as the H gets married to another woman that he never told her about. The h never tells anyone who the baby's father is because she's mortified and everyone in her circle knows him. The h's best friend then gets the h to come across to Italy for a few days (nearly 4 years later) and she unexpectedly meets up with the H who is now divorced. He wants a date and can't understand the h's attitude. She keeps the baby a secret for quite awhile and it became irritating and the H is super-thick not to have noticed or picked up the hints. The minute he finds out then he wants to get married but the h doesn't. The story was just endlessly frustrating and I don't think the H ever grovels for the way he treated the h and the way he deceived her. Who does what he did to her, whilst being engaged to someone else? Not someone I'd want to marry that's for sure.

Short love story. Rose felt betrayed and used. Therefore, I do not fault her for her at times harsh attitude toward the hero. The hero had much explaining to do. Rose in the story is a wonderful mother. The one word that sums up this book is forgiveness.
No woman in their right mind would hide a pregnancy that long, then keep badgering the father about a pregnancy he didn't know about. Then the second pregnancy he is mad about. Super strange. I felt like a lot of the dialogue was repetitive and hurting the daughter by keeping her from her father for four years was dishonorable of the mother.
I bought and read this book a couple of years ago. Seeing it in my library, I decided to read it again. Time we'll spent
this is the first book for this author that i read. it was flat and boring. i didn't feel the emotions of h or H . it draged in some places. i have read worst books that i didn't finish; i finished this one. not recommended .
I am nearly 3/4 of the way into this book, and I am not very happy to have spent money on it. I will probably finish it; hope springs eternal it will get better. The heroine of this book is very passive-aggressively b!+chty. She will be cooing and loving with the hero one moment, then taking a snide potshot the next. It's just not an enjoyable experience. I think this author will go on my "do not buy" list.
