It was really nice to see Searc all grown up and becoming the hero of this story. He was first introduced as a lad in book one and helped Ewan in his journey in book two.
Cannot wait to see what will happen to the next generation of the Munro and McBain clans!!!😅

Help is found whenever someone needs it. Sometimes another person can help one learn how to calm the spirit. Enjoy this story that has love, understanding and heart.
I didn't preview this book as I thought it was the third of a series ( posted it that way) so the story and supernatural undertones was a surprise. Overall story was ok. But I enjoyed the previous two of the series much much more.
As with all of Ms. BrOoklyn's books that I have read so far, this one holds your interest, is full of adventure and romance mixed together.
I know that anyone that likes this type of story will enjoy it as much as I did.
Another winner from Heather McColum! Her captivating heroes are so appealing and Searc is no exception. Not only is he a very hot highlander but he carries a secret magic power. What a powerful combination. The plot is loaded with action, adventure, intrigue and passion. You won’t be able to put this exciting novel down.
Well written. Author's character development is fantastic. I adore the 3 elders and Alec very much. She definitely does not reuse scenes like I have noticed with other writers. She does the humor and verbal interactions so well. They flow so naturally. The only thing I would like to see would be an increase in the Scottish brurr. It is far too English. It is hard to imagine the Highlander she describes without the Gaelic or the burr.
Searc leaves his clan. He sees the fear in their eyes when they see his deadly magic. Along his journey he rescues Elena. She has fled England to save her life. Searc becomes her protector. Now the real danger begins. Both have secrets that can kill them. They are a powerful pair who will fight to stay together. Their attraction is powerful but will they trust each other enough to reveal their secrets? Crimson Heart is a suspense story filled with romance, magic and treachery. Searc and Elena are wonderful characters that capture you from the first page, She is a feisty and intelligent woman and Searc is a true Highlander who loves deeply and protects those he cares for. I enjoyed the maneuvering of Marie of Guise, the queen regent for her daughter Mary Stewart. The political treachery and plotting added to the suspense as does a murderer lurking in the shadows. I loved the romance between Searc and Elena. It was tender and passionate. I wanted these lovers to have a HEA. I loved Crimson Heart. I was sad when it ended.
The last book in the series is without doubt a very entertaining story. It has very succinctly closed all gaps, answered all questions and erased all doubts. Everything was neatly tied up with a little bow, thank goodness! Although, I have to give Ms. McCollum credit for she kept you wanting more and more. Now it's done and the series is over, which saddens me to no end! I really wanted more concerning Kincaid, Meg's and Caden's eldest son. With any luck, maybe the series has future potential after all! That would suit me just fine! (Hint, hint to Ms. McCollum!)

This story is filled with raw emotion, real fear, passion, evil, good, lust, and such self doubt and self loathing in Searc, due to his magic. Thankfully he meets Elena, saves her butt and sets out to deliver her to her cousin. Took awhile for trust to develop between the two, but once there, they became inseparable and undefeatable. To see the love blossoming across the pages between them was fascinating and heartwarming. The strength and love between them was unmatched. There is plenty of humor and old characters toward the end to finalize their stories, and hopefully have the peace they all craved.

Lots of intrigue and secrets abound in this story. Regent Queen Mary, mother to future Queen Mary of Scott's, is quite the character! She keeps Searc and Elena jumping thru hoops.....and you can tell she enjoys every minute of it! Too funny. There are all kinds of other fascinating characters, some you'll like, some you'll question their motives and some you will outright loath. If you should deceide to read the series, I would recommend you do so in order. Happy reading! Cheers!🍻
